I’m sure I’ve surprised a few people by agreeing to go into the jungle in northern Australia for this year’s I’m A Celebrity get Me Out Of Here! Those who know me well will know I don’t like bugs, spiders and other creepy crawlies anywhere near me!!
Funnily enough, when I was invited to take part in the show, I didn’t have to think twice. I’ve watched the show most years and was addicted last year. And after such a busy year this year getting my learn to swim vision up and running I thought this would be a really fun (well most of the time!!) challenge and a nice break. I’m sure there’ll be times when I’m missing the comforts of home as well as my friends, loved ones and dogs, but I really think I’m going to have a lot of fun!!
The show hopefully also gives me a chance to talk about my vision of teaching kids to swim. I want to see every child in Britain able to swim at least 25 metres by the time they leave primary school, and with such a massive audience watching I’m a Celebrity, many who may not necessarily be into sport, I hope to get the chance to show them why swimming is such a valuable life skill for all of us to learn.
I hope you all tune in and enjoy the show, I’m determined to enjoy it and I’m sure my competitive nature will come out at times!!!
