I’m flying out to Budapest on Monday 9th August for the European Swimming Championships. I’ll be in action in my two usual events, the 400m and 800m Free, and I’ll also be doing the 4x200m Free Relay.
I’m feeling good going into the meet as training has been going really well, but as everyone knows, the pressure of competition is very different to everyday training. I’m not going to make any predictions about how I’ll do – but I’ll give it 100% as usual and take it from there.
My first race is the 800m Free on August 11th, with the final on the next day along with the 4x200m Free Relay final. Then it’s the 400m Free heats and final on August 15th.
I’m just raring to go and the meet will be a good measuring stick on where I am in terms of performance with the Commonwealth Games in Delhi late in the year.
