During the past couple of months Rebecca has received
support and recognition from her peers and
countrymen, including receiving an honorary degree from
Nottingham University. Some of these are

Mark Foster tips Rebecca for the top
Five-time Olympian, Mark Foster singled out Rebecca as one of a
group of women who will succeed at London 2012. He told Press
Association Sport: "Becky is still only 20 years of age. Come 2012
a lot of these girls are going to be 22-24. I think it is a really
exciting time for us,"

Duncan Goodhew says Rebecca is still the girl to
beat
Olympic gold medal winner and swimming legend, Duncan Goodhew is
confident Rebecca will be back on top after a testing summer. He
agrees with many that her performance was marred by the decision to
stick with an outdated suit. Goodhew said: 'She's the girl to beat.
She has shown her mettle when it counts. We've had other swimmers
win championships and set world records, but the Olympics is the
primary test."

Nottingham University
honours Rebecca's achievements
Following on from an OBE in the 2009 New Year's Honours, Rebecca
has received a Master of Arts degree at Nottingham university's
winter graduation ceremony. The honorary degree recognises
her exceptional contribution to sport. Rebecca is one of the
youngest ever recipients of an honorary degree from the University
of Nottingham.
