World Long Course Trials

Rebecca will be competing in her first major competition since
the Beijing Olympics when she races at the British Championships
which are combining as World Long Course Trials in Sheffield from
March 16-20th.
This will be the first domestic event since Beijing where all of
her GB rivals will be fully prepared and looking to gain a place on
the team for the Worlds in Rome in late July.
The winner of each event in Sheffield will automatically be
selected for Rome, with the second place finishers posting a time
which could be beaten at the final qualification event in Glasgow
25-28th June, where the second competitor in each event will be
selected.
Rebecca's potential schedule for the meet is as follows:
- 16th March: Day 1 - 400m Freestyle Heat and Final
- 17th March: Day 2 - 200m Freestyle Heat and Semi Final
- 18th March: Day 3 - 800m Freestyle Heat and 200m Freestyle
Final
- 19th March: Day 4 - 800m Freestyle Final
