The website is coming on nicely.
Maybe you could post on there some advice and guidance for young aspiring swimmers. Like yourself my daughter has just started competitive swimming for her local club at age 9 and she loves being in the water training

Thank you so much Phil. I will put together a swimming video ;-) Good luck to your daughter and her swimming. Becky :-)

Hello! I am Antonia and you are my hero! I want to be like you! My friends are being pushy and mean in the pool. Did you ever have anything like this? If so what do I do. Also could you do a video on how hard you train and what you do in a training session, could you give me some tips for freestyle and breaststroke. Thanks Antonia x

Becky, you’re such an inspiration to me. Back in 2008 I was fast becoming a couch potato but was so inspired by you and your golds in Beijing I got myself down to my local pool in Stevenage and realised I absolutely loved being there. I’m now fitter and happier than I’ve ever been, I’ve found muscles I never knew I had and new friends and a great hobby! It’s lead to other sports too, I know dabble in badminton and have joined the local tennis club, I’ve become a different person! Anyway, just wanted to say you’re beautiful and an inspiration and that’s all I’ve got really lol but thanks again for kicking my butt off the sofa in the first place and good luck with your new site, it looks great! :)

Hi Becky, your video would of inspired me a couple of months ago but today it made me cry. It made me cry because I now know that I’m never going to reach your level you said you swam for 10 years, I’ve been swimming almost 6 and I’m at county level. I seem to stay at the same play getting no faster and no slower. I’m getting fed up now and I want your opinion. Do you think I should quit? I used to love swimming more than anything. And I still love competing but I’m having to bribe myself to go training. Please help me!

    • Becky says:

Hi Molly. Thank you so much for your kind words. I can’t tell you whether to quit or not as that has to be your decision. The one thing i would say is i loved it when i did it and your heart has to be in it. Its an amazing sport and I’m not sure how much you train or what club etc but i loved being part of a team. We had such a laugh together so i hope you do too. Good luck. Becky :-)

Hi Becky! I just want to ask a quick question, I am 11 years old and I am in love with swimming. But I am trying hard but not really getting anywhere my coaches say I’m doing well but I don’t know if that’s just to reassure me. The younger ones are in front most of the time, I just want to know if you ever went through a patch of not improving and do you have any advice?
    Thanks Antonia
