Ones to Watch in London

A question I often get asked is do I ever get to see any of the Olympic events myself!

In Beijing I certainly didn't get to see much, before my events obviously I was very focussed and so the only thing on my mind was swimming, and then after my events - because I'd won - I had so many interviews and meetings to go to I simply didn't have the chance!! I did manage to see my friends Keri-anne Payne and David Davies swim, but other than that I didn't get a minute.

I don't know what it will be like this year - but if I could choose I would go to support the guys I have met over the years through being part of Team GB. Sir Chris Hoy and I share the same management team, so I have got to know him quite well and I'd love to be in the velodrome to watch his races. Obviously, my best mate Keri-anne Payne - I'd love to watch her race. And then I have met Jess Ennis a few times and would love to see her in the heptathlon.

In a parallel universe, if I wasn't an Olympic athlete, I could spend hours watching the Olympics as I'm such a huge fan! I'd love to see some of the weird and wonderful events, and just see some of the amazing venues around London where they'll be taking place.
