I'm over the moon with the start I have made to the British Gas Championships. Winning the 200m Freestyle has guaranteed my place at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi later this year and also my place at the European Championships in Hungary in August. It's such a relief after I didn't make it four years ago - I can't tell you how different my emotions are!

The 200m is something I have targeted as I love swimming the 4x200m Freestyle Relay and it looks as though Britain are going to have a strong relay for Budapest and hopefully the English squad can be competitive in Delhi.

Having already qualified means that I'll be raring to go for my favoured races, the 400m Freestyle and particularly the 800m Freestyle, at the end of this week. I can't wait to get back in the water.
