Opening of The Rebecca Adlington Swimming Centre

My family and I went to the opening of what was Sherwood Baths, now the Rebecca Adlington Swimming Centre in Mansfield, I can't tell you how proud my parents were! And what a refurbishment!! I think they have spent around £5m doing the baths up and modernising it. The changing rooms have been redeveloped, two lanes added to the pool itself, a new kids room and there's now a really good gym. There's also an endless pool, where you can practise your technique.

As my old 'home' pool, we used to live 10 minutes round the corner, I'm very pleased that its looking so fantastic. What an honour that it has been named after me. The official opening was on February 18th - so do pop down if you are in the area.
